Dear AIS Members:

The Americas Conference on Information Systems is celebrating 30 years in 2024, and we, Michelle Carter, Kelly Fadel, and Tom Meservy, your friendly AMCIS 2024 co-chairs, are excited to continue the AMCIS tradition of disseminating significant and impactful IS research!

We recognize that many in the AIS community are interested in AMCIS research but may be unable to attend the conference in person. This year, we are employing multiple methods, some used previously and some new, to expand AMCIS reach, impact, and accessibility:

• First, continuing their success and popularity in recent years, authors of accepted AMCIS papers are creating author-videos in advance of the conference. These videos are being posted on article landing pages on the AIS eLibrary, and will be accessible prior to the conference.  We are grateful to all AMCIS authors for investing the effort to create these videos.
• Second, historically popular sessions such as awards ceremonies and panels will be recorded and posted on the AIS eLibrary conference page for viewing after the conference.
• Third, we are thrilled to introduce AMCIS 2024 AuthorConnect, a new approach to extend AMCIS’s reach to all AIS members. AuthorConnect is a platform that facilitates virtual meetups between AMCIS paper authors and AIS community members interested in discussing their research. An AuthorConnect link (shown below) will appear on the AIS eLibrary for each AMCIS paper, allowing AIS members to notify authors of their interest in a virtual discussion. Authors can then schedule and post their own virtual meeting sessions, with full control over the timing and meeting software used. Any AIS member can register for an AuthorConnect session, including AMCIS attendees as well as those not attending the conference.
