The Florida International University (FIU), situated in Miami, U.S., stands as a leading R1 public research university, positioned within an international hub for technology, finance, healthcare, hospitality, commerce, and entertainment. The Wall Street Journal ranks FIU as the 29th best university nationwide and the fourth among public universities in the America’s Best Colleges 2024 rankings. FIU’s College of Business ranks second for its undergraduate International Business Program (U.S. News & World Report, 2023) and seventh for its International MBA Program (U.S. News & World Report, 2024). The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA) comprises 36 accomplished faculty members. Their research spans a wide spectrum, including information systems use, agile project management, cultural and ethical implications of Information Systems (IS) usage, artificial intelligence, business analytics, use of emerging technologies to enhance healthcare quality and reduce costs and various aspects of cybersecurity. Additionally, our operations management experts offer solutions pertaining to disaster management, supply chain, and logistics. Further, several faculty members are pioneers in their respective fields, having received prestigious grants, awards, fellowships, and serving on editorial boards of premier journals.

ISBA’s academic landscape includes undergraduate majors in Business Analytics and Information Systems. Our graduate programs include the MS Information Systems with specializations in Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, AI, and Digital Transformation, as well as the MS Health Informatics and Analytics and MS Health Informatics and AI programs. ISBA offers three STEM MBA programs in Cybersecurity Risk Management, Business Analytics and AI, designed to groom technology leaders to serve in C-suite roles alongside other business executives.
