Overview:

The MIS division boasts a vibrant community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to developing student skills, conducting research, and advancing knowledge in information technologies for organizational use. Since its inception in 1995, the division has flourished as a hub for high-quality IT education and research. Our world-renowned faculty have earned numerous teaching and research awards, serve on major MIS journal editorial boards, and secure externally funded grants. Scholarships are awarded annually to meritorious students, with over 80 students receiving awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 in 2023, thanks to generous donations from MIS alumni and corporate donors such as American Fidelity Assurance, ConocoPhillips, Hobby Lobby, Love’s, One Gas, OneOK, Paycom, Pioneer Natural Resources, Valero, Williams, Weaver, and others. We maintain an active industry-academia partnership through the Center for MIS Studies, where member companies collaborate with faculty and support student recruitment and development. Our MIS Student Association, an active social and study group, is also a student chapter of the Association of Information Systems. Our programs and faculty receive external recognition, with our undergraduate program ranked #18 by US News and World Report, #1 by Business Value, and #11 by College Factual. The graduate program is ranked in the top 25 Business Analytics programs by TFE, and faculty research productivity is ranked in the top 30 globally by the disciplinary society.
